A very Happy Christmas and New Year to all my e friends. This little oil sketch features my father and his two older siblings. Where this picture is and who owns I do not know. There are wood cut versions too but this one does not look as if it has been finished; painted by […]

Four Legged Ghosts
I still hear them calling me when I let the dog out morning noon and night, slightly bazaar as I don’t believe in ghosts, but it is strange. My little spotted pony was 35 years old last month and sadly failed to regain condition this summer. The Shetland was deaf and laminitic, he too was […]
A Country house birthday party
I think I must be very lucky to be invited to amazing parties occasionally. House parties still happen as I was to experience recently. Her jewellery is amazing, see here http://lwgodsilsjadisjewelry.blogspot.com/2008/06/practice.html She mentioned the proverb “practise makes perfect”; recently I heard on the wireless a discussion on music and the acquisition of real skill at playing an instrument; […]
A Prince in the garden
“No, I am not here”. First time I have managed to grow basil from seed. Wild Geranium outside. Muddled up with the lawn mower, this little cap was also worried about the lack of butterflies this year.
Varieties are back
I could forgive a man for not enjoying Milton; but I would not call that man my friend who should be offended with “the divine chit-chat of Conrad Roth“. apol. C Lamb
