Ah, yes. That’s where one of the green children of Wulfpit went to live when she grew up.

Do you mean the green children from Wulfpit in Suffolk? The girl married a chap in Kings Lynn (Norfolk) according to this:

I had never heard of them! You are well read Marly!

Lyme Regis is quite famous for other reasons too. Always being used for films, like Pride and Prejudice (BBC version).

The link with the Caribbean settlements is very strong too.

    Oh, that’s right!

My mind is a colander sieve. And there I’d even written about her…

It’s discouraging how memory turns what you know into alphabet soup.

Oh I do miss Lyme! Went there most hols as a child, then Tom and I renewed the acquaintance and had good times there. We’re about directly due south from it, we used to look out to sea there and say ‘France is over there…’ before our plans were firm.
Loads of lovely things since I was here last, the V&A was another good memory; I used to be fascinated by the netsuke, and also the Arts and Crafts stuff, among others.
i’ll get you on my blogroll then I’ll make it more often.

I think we will have to be very careful with the typing errors on “blogroll” could lead to all sorts of misunderstandings!

Are you glad you settled in France? I love the food, the wine, the shops, the sunny clime, etc but do you get homesick sometimes?

This kind of pictures remind me of our holidays in Cornwall 6 years ago. I can remember the splendid light, ideal for photos, and the small-scale fishing industry, the picturesque small towns, the friendly people and the pastries. If I only had the choice, I would go there this year or next year again.
