The Birthday Parade

Today was our Sovereign’s official birthday. Her birthday parade went off well in the sunshine with the Taffs trooping.

Next week we celebrate The Royal Meeting.

When is that old Lady going to retire –and her son take over?

I really like Prince Charlie – a fine, conservative aesthete. (and not a bad water colourist)

I don’t think she believes in giving up, it’s a ‘for life job’. Hard on a son in waiting though as you say. Edward VII only just survived his mother Queen Victoria.

She has done and is still doing an exemplary job, you really can’t fault her. She is also a very nice person but woe betide the young officer who gets something wrong. Even very senior officers have been summoned in the past to explain what went wrong.

Pity your President doesn’t have someone to tick him off! She has entertained 11 American Presidents since 1953 which is an awful lot of experience!

Glad you like ‘Wales’. You couldn’t have a more loyal household here!!
