An old soldier friend (of 40 years ago), commissioned me to do a new version of this very popular work. I had effectively done two versions back in my early days of sculpting. "Salad Days" was my first attempt followed by Girl On Tummy. Many other challenges have intervened but it is such a popular pose. Hermione has now emigrated to Australia where they now live.

Having more than one work on the go at any one time is always welcome as it gives me the space to reinvent my work. Shortly after Hermione was initiated, I received another commission for another flying spaniel.
